Commission Me!

Just a bit about my art, my style, and myself in general.

If you have any questions you didn't see answered in this journal, feel free to ask, and they'll be added!

1. omfghowoldareyou? Haha, sixteen. My birthday's in May.

2. Do you have a tablet, or do you do your stuff with a mouse. Pfft! I couldn't do what I do with a mouse. If I drew with my mouse, I wouldn't be drawing at all. I have a Wacom Graphire tablet.

3. Where'd you get your tablet? For how much?Actually, I didn't purchase my tablet personally. While I was vacationing, my dad got it for me as a gift. More than likely, he got it from Best Buy. Uhm, from what I know personally, most tablets run from around $60 dollars up. But that's not official knowledge, that's just my educated guess.

4. You hardly ever draw people anymore! What happened?I still draw human figures, they're just not on deviantART. I moved away to better myself at quadrapeds, and fantasy-esque creatures. In doing so, I kind of lost my touch for humans. So until I'm back up to a level that I think is acceptable for my human drawing, you'll see very little from me. Unless it's from a commission or some other thing like that..

5. Ten interesting things about your art? Wow, uhm. Alright here goes:
I. I started drawing when I was in fifth grade. My very first serious piece of art is in the very back of my gallery. It was a recreation of one Koh Kawarajima. Admittedly, it wasn't a very good recreation, but it's there.

II. I used to be a huge Inuyasha fangirl, and that's where my username was derived. Little did my noobish self know then, it was a repetitive name. However, I've not changed it because of sentimental value.

III. I use Photoshop Elements 3.0 for my coloring work, OpenCanvas, and Painter for my linearting and just random doodling.

IV. I tend to haunt the public and private rooms of Niko's Paintchat. The experience is just fun. Hilarity and randomness occur. Be warned.

V. The only art classes I've taken have been in high school, and they don't reall teach me anything. Just get me to apply my current skills. In my Freshmen year, I took Advanced Art, then in Sophomore year, I took Cartooning. Now, this year, I'm taking New Media I.

VI. I'm currently working on the illustrations for a novel by Robert Bishop called Whispers In The Night. A tale of modern-day Vlad Dracula and his quest to save his love, Mary.

VII. Wow, does it really have to be 10 things? It's getting hard to think of stuff. (wastes a slot *cackle*)

VIII. I've never written a tutorial, nor do I plan to. My style of art can't be taught. I can give you hints on lighting and stuff, but basically I draw by eye.

IX. It really bugs me when someone tells me what "should" be happening in my art. Or when they say something like, "omg that looks just like my character _____! Lyk, omigod! _____'s this ______ that _______ and he/she looks just like your character! " Mokay, no. I really didn't need to know that so... It's best to just pretend you said it, because I'm not going to be interested so I won't read the comment stating my character's likeness to yours.

X. Music influences heavily on my inspiration, and what I draw. Especially bands like Muse, The Used, Dir En Grey (), and various others. Those guys are WIN.

6. When you draw, do you sketch it out in your head first? Well, yeah. Usually I have some idea of what I want in my head before I put a pencil to paper, or my tablet pen to the tablet itself. But sometimes, I'll just start drawing and see what I come up with.

7. Do you take requests? Not usually, no. Only if it's something I feel like drawing, and that's usually for friends. Like, just recently, I made a CSS journal for a good friend of mine Scuba-steve-the-1st and also his icon. Otherwise, I usually won't take requests.

8. Trades Haven't taken one yet. So.. no.
